Lately, I have been trying to figure out a personal balance that feels right between time online and time unplugged.  You may have got that sense last week in the article Does Unplugging Help Achieve Balance?  Our family time on the weekend is something I truly treasure.   Currently, with my blogging schedule I publish a new post 5 times per week, Sunday afternoon through Thursday afternoon.  The reason I have done it this way is so that Monday morning there is a new post ready to go, especially for my blog friends who subscribe through email, the RSS feed, or read this blog on ModernMom.

However, it means that I am on the computer working on my blog Sunday afternoons, which may not be the right balance for me.  For a little while I thought I would try switching things up and publishing new posts Monday afternoon – Friday afternoon.  This means there will not be a new post up first thing on Monday morning.

Making this change is more than just what is right for me.  I am very grateful that you share in this journey with me, and it is very important to me to know how this impacts you.  Do you have an opinion on which posting schedule you like better, or do you feel it doesn’t make too much of a difference?

Please share your honest opinions with me in the comments and/or on the Give Love Create Happiness Facebook page.  I want to make this blog work well for you!  If you have any ideas or thoughts on what you would like to hear more about, or see more articles on, please let me know.  Your feedback is super important!

Thank you, friends!

Here is to creating a wonderful week! :-)

♥With Love,
Wendy Irene

Balance is a tough thing to achieve. Personally, I feel that the schedule should be what works best for *you* and your family, not what a reader might prefer. I don't think regular blogging should become a chore or an obligation or a drain - rather, it is something that you enjoy doing and one that (as you say on your About page) lets you "nourish[] [your] creative side."

Yes, this is a community and an interactive forum, but your family life and the time you spend on those connections seem more important to me than whether there is a blog post up first thing Monday morning. No pressure to blog every day, or have one up at X time. Do what is right for you!

The schedule does not matter to me. I am always just happy to open up my email and see your blog sitting there.

It is never wrong to change things up and keep it fresh. If sunday afternoon blogging is getting in the way of your family time then I say change it up. It should be something you look forward to doing.

I like how seriously you take this and the fact that you really care what your readers think.

as long as you keep writing I don't think is going to be a problem if you change it from Monday to Tuesday. Except yesterday, I try to have my weekend post written in advance so I can enjoy the time with my family. As much as i love my blog family time is more important, and I know every moms thinks that.
Write as you feel comfortable, we'll keep reading no matter the day of the week.

This is your journey, you do what works best for you! Over the years, I've truly begun to realized just how important balance is in one's life. It can be difficult to achieve, but if you know what you need to make it happen, you're one step ahead of the game ;)

We're here enjoying this journey with you (and it's an amazing one at that), so like everyone else has stated: we'll be following and reading no matter what!

As a side note, personally, it takes me awhile to get going on Mondays anyway, so an afternoon post would just be splendid!

I think you should blog on a schedule that suits YOU not us. Unless you are making piles of money from your blog, do what suits you best.
