You could call it a weed

But its beauty shines through more without a label

Same goes for people

Love it! So important too. When we label a person we categorize that person. We put a lid on them and close the top and have a set of expectations that reduce the person to a thing, a categorized substance.

And sadly, people often live down to the limiting labels we place on them.

Thank you for your clarity and wisdom, Wendy!

@Ken-

It is so easy for your mind to want to label everything. I am working hard to resist that. Thank you for your kind words :)

Reading that was like a flip of a switch. What an enlightening sentiment. Preexisting notions and connotations can intrude on appreciating the visceral beauty of things and more importantly people.

I love when you post these creative gems!

I love this! I was just speaking to my sister about something similar - that you really can't judge anyone in this life as we never know what each and every person is truly going through, this is of the same thread and I love it! Thanks for sharing!

I love this post Wendy, well you know I love reading your blog.
So true about labeling people, just like judging a book by its covers. We should always take the time and appreciate the others near us and stop labeling them!
Thanks for reminding us!

This is a very nice thought.
There is no such a thing as a "weed" but people call plants "weeds" that are in the wrong place in the wrong time :)
