A visit from a lovely hummingbird was a bright spot in my day. Early in the morning the hummingbird appeared outside my office window. Its wings fluttering so fast, I envisioned my heart beating in unison.

During my morning meditation I told myself something good was going to happen today. The precious hummingbird was a sign of something good. A sign that all is right in the world.

Later on in the day the children and I were sitting on the porch, slightly shaded from the glorious sunshine. Simply being. Simply smiling. When the lovely hummingbird returned to visit twice more.

The smiles that beamed across my children’s faces were indeed something good. The connection to the hummingbird was felt by all of us. Pure love all the way around.

Believe something good is going to happen today.

Hi Wendy!

Several hummingbirds dance and dart and hover around a tree that branches out in my backyard, right outside a sliding glass door of my office where I do what I do on my site and here saying hi to you. Some finches sometimes join the hummingbirds too, jhumping from branch to branch.

I love that image of family sitting on porches simply being, enjoying the warmth and each other.

Perhaps that's the antidote for so much stress and anxiety out there in the frantic world of ours.

Thanks for sharing that. I feel peaceful already just thinking about it! :)

What a lovely surprise. Hummingbirds are so beautiful.

Also, to answer your question you left on my blog...Lily was about 3 when I started making her necklaces, but I watched her very closely when she had them on. Also the beaded ones I make for her are made out of a plastic elastic cording....there is a stretch to them.

@Melanie,

Thanks so much for letting me know Melanie! My little girl is 2 1/2. I'm excited for her because I know she will love it, and so will I! :)
