The Pumpkin-Swirl Cupcakes were a success J

Here they are coming out of the oven.
Before decorating the cupcakes the kids got their princess crowns on for the celebration.
Here is the transformation.
The cupcakes were dense because it was really a brownie recipe that I used, which made the light fluffy whip cream a perfect topping for them.
The flavor from the pumpkin and spices were subtle, and a nice addition to the chocolate.
I definitely would make them again.
If you give this recipe a try, note that they are the consistence of a dense brownie, not light and cake like. The cupcakes were nice because they were individually portioned but I am sure these would be great made in a traditional brownie pan.
After the family celebration was over, and the kids went to bed, Hubby and I broke out the Bubbly and counted down until Midnight!
