Happy 2011!

With the New Year also comes a time of reflection, a fresh start.  Although making a positive change in your life can happen any time throughout the year, often the New Year brings new motivation and using that momentum can be a beautiful thing.  This post is going to be very short and to the point because there is not a lot of explanation that I can think of, but if you have any questions please let me know and I will do my best to help in any way I can.

Here are 3 tools that have made a tremendous difference for me when making a change in my life.

1. Believe you can do it.  Believing and wanting to are two different things.
2. Visualize the goal
3. Say affirmations.  Your words and thoughts are very powerful.  Saying affirmations will help connect your mind and heart assisting you through the process of change.

Do you have any advice that you have found helpful when making a change you can share?  I’d love to know!

Happy New Year, Wendy and family! It takes 21 days to form a habit- stick with something for three weeks and it will soon seem second nature!

@Katie- Thank you for sharing that Katie! That makes a lot of sense because being consistent for a full 21 days is not that easy. The first 21 days are probably the hardest.

I have to admit, I have been using that unsubscribe button too...after awhile your email box just fills up. But it is fun to look at all the new toys!
Hope your new year is going well!

I have to say that the power of positve thinking is truly the key to achieving your goals. That and keeping busy. When I use to seriously train, I would just train to the point of exhaustion, almost to the point of an obsession....of course the whole trick is getting to the point where you can do that. When your starting every step is incredibly difficult!
That is exactly where I am at now...sigh...
did I mention I got a treadmill for Christmas!
Cheers
