Oh my gosh, I wish so much for you to know how incredibly powerful you are. You have the seed of God in you, the root of creation. It is at the very core of who you are. This seed is the reason you too can create great miracles in your life, and great healing in the world around you. That power is a part of your birth right.
The more that you be the love, the more that your world, our world changes. You are creating each and every day of your life here on this planet, and it's so important that you go out there and be the light. The world needs you more than ever. The world will heal as you heal. Shine light on all the parts of your belief system that need healing. Bring light to the negative things you believe about yourself, that were wrongly instilled in you. Turn it over to source energy, that which we call God and be healed.
Being the light doesn't necessarily always mean doing, doing, doing, it means taking it one moment at a time, asking yourself, how can I be love in this moment? How can I be who I truly am, who God created me to be, not who the world told me to be. You are a miracle, you are a great beacon of light, and you are here on this planet at this very time to let that light shine so extremely bright.
You contracted to be on the earth at this exact time to help with the shift, to help with ascension and the healing of the planet. I know you can feel it in you. Now get out there and do it, be YOU!

Many of us struggle with loving our bodies. Our body is the precious vehicle of our soul. It holds our light. Do you want to change the negative cycle of self-hate towards your body? I will tell you how. Start by saying loving things to your body.
I love you legs, I appreciate you.
I love you heart, thank you for being open and beating for me.
I love you tummy, you are beautiful, thank you for keeping me nourished.
Say that you love all the parts of your body, especially the ones you are harshest too. Affirm that your body is good, that it is loved, and that you are thankful for having a body, and all that it does. Stop allowing yourself to say negative things to or about your body. Instead love and appreciate your body, one thought, and one word at a time. That is how to truly deep down love your body.
Your body feels the energy of your thoughts and words. It believes the negative things you say about it and acts accordingly. Stop telling your body that it is fat, or not pretty enough and everything you don't want it to be, because your body believes you and will show you exactly what you are affirming. Speak lovingly to your body instead and it will respond much better :-)
It may sound simple, but it is a huge miraculous shift. A shift anyone of us can do, starting right now.

You have the incredible gift of co-creating your life. It's so easy to make the mistake that life is nothing more than what happens to us, but I am here to tell you that it is not true. The Universe wants for you what you want with the greatest good for everyone involved.
I can hear you saying but lots of times I don't get what I want. This only happens when there is something better for you, waiting for you to grasp it, an even bigger blessing. You are not doing something wrong if your dreams are huge, so don't make yourself small. And you're not doing something wrong if your dreams are what society considers small, and involve simple things that make you happy, because those joyful ripples are contagious in the world.
God made you who you are for a reason. You are exactly who you are supposed to be. Don't be negative to yourself, and know that you are understood and needed in this world. No one else can do what you specifically are here to do, so stand in your light and strongly be who you are.
Give your fears and worries away to God. The universe knows just what to do with them. When you doubt, ask that your doubts be taken away. Everyone has fears, and worries, and doubts, it is what you do with them that matters most. You can either let them stop your life, or you can jump into the flow and allow all the good in, and there is A LOT of good out there for you.
Be careful to listen to those repeated messages. That is your inner guide, urging you to do what is necessary to make your life even better and more spectacular than it is. If you follow this guidance, you'll be following your rainbow and a life that is meant to be yours.
Life is not supposed to be about suffering and pain. We cause this when we go against the flow inside of us, when we quiet our guidance system because we don't want to hear the messages. We think the changes will be hard, or difficult, or scary. That is when you live with faith that God truly does want what is best for you.
It is important that you also give up the fear of what others will think, it only holds you back. Give your doubts over to God, and your anxiety and your worry. Go outside in nature because Mother Earth will know what to do with your unwanted negative energy. She will turn it into something magnificent.
It is your choice whether you follow your inner guidance and dreams, or quiet them. It's always been your choice. You just didn't know how powerful you are.

Everything consists of energy, even inanimate objects such as rocks and crystals. Everything gives off a vibration in the universe, some which are very helpful and others that can be potentially harmful. In other words, there are lower and higher energies. It is my belief that we are here on earth to lift our own vibration and in turn the vibration of others and the planet.
Lifting your own vibration in turn helps those around you. We always teach best by example. When you're in sync with the universal flow and living from a place of light it motivates and inspires others to do the same. When you live from a place of power within, others are encouraged to live that way as well.
There are many ways you can lift your vibration. One way is through meditation. It helps you release lower energies and emotions. It clears a path for the light to shine in and through you. You are light at your core. Meditation can help you to fully remember and embrace that simple fact.
Another way to lift your vibration is through diet. On this site I often share vegan recipes, but I don't frequently speak about why eating plant-based foods is so important. Pure vegetables and fruits not only make you feel your best, they clear your energy and lift your vibration from the murky residue other foods can leave behind. Eating plants has the power to lift your vibration to a higher energy realm.
It is beneficial to remove, or at least minimize animal products because the energy of suffering is carried through the food and into the body. To lift your vibration you want to maximize loving and kind energy and minimize negativity and suffering. This can be applied to all aspects of life.
There can be a lot of pain and suffering that goes into animal products including dairy and eggs. If you eat animal products it is of upmost importance to know your source and how the animals are treated. I also think prayer is a good idea, asking for any negative energy associated with the food to be cleared. Just please remember vegetables and fruits can boost your vibration the fastest.
Along the lines of meditation, prayer is a great way to lift your vibration. Ask for what you want help with. Be open and willing to accept the help and realize there are many forms it can come in, from particular song lyrics you need to hear at just the right time, to advice from a friend or colleague. My very favorite form is an inner knowingness or voice coming from your higher self or the angel realm.
Please don't be scared to allow yourself to be sensitive to the energy and guidance within and around you. Although not everyone agrees, or even understands this energy, it is important that you take back your power and allow yourself the miraculous gift of a life in line with your inner light and soul purpose. This is where true happiness is found, and where you'll cure any suffering you experience.
You are always being spoken too and guided. You are always whole and have the free will and choice to be your true expression of light. May you have the courage to stand in that light and be who you are!

Cilantro itself is low in calories, and thought to help with disease prevention and health promotion. Its deep green leaves contain antioxidants and fiber, as well as beneficial essential oils. Cilantro is a good source of vitamins and minerals, and is one of the richest herbal sources of vitamin K.
There are many reasons to make this cilantro pesto. Both tasty and health beneficial, it’s good on any number of dishes from pasta to potatoes, and summer salads. It would also make a mighty delicious sandwich spread. When I made the cilantro pesto I tossed it over 2 large diced potatoes for a healthier version of potato salad.

2 cups cilantro
½ cup pine nuts
2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice (about ½ a lemon)
2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 Tbsp. water
½ tsp. sea salt
¼ tsp. pepper
For additional flavor (optional):
Add 1 to 2 cloves garlic, peeled
Add all ingredients to a high speed blender. Slowly increase speed to high, blend for approximately 1 minute.

Making your own alternative milks at home is easy and really rewarding. It’s fantastic that there are lots of options for non-dairy milk in stores these days, and I do buy them, but I’m never thrilled with the long list of ingredients. Anything you can avoid buying processed and make at home instead is a win in my book.
My very favorite homemade milk is almond milk. It’s oh so thick, creamy and delicious. However sometimes I’m in need of a change up and crave different nutrients. Plus almonds can get expensive, especially when buying organic, and there are a rising number of nut allergies. Flax milk is a great alternative.
For this recipe I used golden flax seeds because they are thought to have a milder flavor, but brown would work just fine too. The dates and vanilla add sweetness to the recipe that I would not recommend skipping. When developing the recipe I started out with less dates and found they were much need to develop good flavor. Cinnamon is completely optional, the flax milk tastes great without it, but if you’re a big fan of cinnamon for its extra nutrients and flavor, go ahead and give it a try.

Homemade Flax Milk
Yields: approximately 4 cups
6 cups filtered water
¼ cup golden flax seeds
4 dates, pitted
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
¼ tsp. cinnamon (optional – if you like the flavor of cinnamon in your drinks)
You will also need:
Nut milk bag or cheese cloth
Add water and flax seeds to a high speed blender. Blend on high for 1 minute.
Strain flax milk through a nut milk bag into a bowl, or through a colander lined with cheesecloth folded over a couple of times. It is helpful to use tongs or your hands to squeeze and coax the flax milk through the bag. (*Tip – If the bag becomes overly clogged and is not straining, simply poor the remaining flax milk back into the blender, rinse nut milk bag off to essentially unclog it, and poor the remaining milk through the bag again.)
Rinse flax seed pieces out of the blender, and add the strained flax milk back into the blender along with the pitted dates, pure vanilla extract, and cinnamon if using.
Blend on high for 1 minute.
Skim layer of foam off the top of the flax milk.
Store in the refrigerator, and stir or shake before serving.

Now is the time to slow down and enjoy the glorious springtime sunshine. You may find this hard to do with spring sports and the last crazy push before school’s out for summer. It is with pleasure I share with you a few quick ideas of how to keep dinners light and healthy. It’s what I do in my own home.
In addition, spring and summer would not be the same without sun tea. Fruit infused sun tea is especially delicious, and don’t worry I found this recipe works great even if it’s not scorching hot out, all you need is some good ol’ fashioned bright sunshine.

Fruit Infused Sun Tea
Yields: serves 2
You will need:
Mason jar with lid
2 tea bags (I used herbal mint tea in the picture above)
Berries & Fruit (I used lemon slices, blueberries, and strawberries slices)
Fill a clean Mason jar with purified or filtered water. Add 2 tea bags, and place lid on jar.
Place jar in a sunny spot, and allow to steep for 1 hour.
Remove the tea bags. Add slices of fruit and berries to the tea.
Place tea with fruit into the refrigerator, and allow to infuse for one hour.
Serve (pour over ice if desired).
*Play around. Get creative. Use your favorite teas and fruits to make tasty combinations. Let me know what you come up with!

Creating quick and healthy meals can be easy. It simply requires that you have a few nutritious ingredients on hand ready to go in the fridge. Mix and match, serve over greens, and add your favorite healthy condiments as toppings.
Great foods to keep on hand in the fridge:
Roasted sweet potato chunks (with skins!)
Sautéed veggies, such as peppers, onions, and mushrooms
Raw nuts and seeds (they add flavor, nutrition, and great crunch)
Greens (such as spinach, kale, and romaine)
Avocado (in the pantry, not the fridge)
With just those few ingredients listed you can mix and match to make many different meals and snacks.
There are so many meals you can throw together in minutes by having a few basic ingredients, prepared and ready to go for the week ahead. Pick a night with less going on and cook some rice, lentils, and beans, roast a couple of sweet potatoes, sauté a few veggies and you’ll be good to go the whole week through.
Hopefully that gives you a few good ideas that won’t break the bank and will nourish your body and soul from the inside out. With a little creativity, there are no limits to what you can come up with.
