These are some of the goals I would like to work on for 2010.
Drink More Water Often – this is something I go in and out of being good about. I have my times when I am doing a good job with my water intake. Other times I seem to lose concentration on staying hydrated and get in a rut. This is important to me because I have noticed with going in and out of drinking enough water, that I do actually feel better when I drink more. I get fewer headaches, which are often caused by dehydration. Overall I feel better, and the better I feel the easier it is for me to remain calm and stress less. Sometimes when I am stressed a good thing to do is to grab a cup of water and take a mini break and drink it by the window. It is good for the body and soul.
Eat Lots of Veggies – make the main source of my food intake fruits and veggies.
Get More Sleep – the past 2 months, especially around the holidays I have been going to bed way too late for the time I need to get up. I need to make sleep more of a priority in my life over other things I want to get done. Sleep also helps keep you healthy and less stressed.
Decrease Sugar Intake – this for me is similar to my water intake. I go in and out of concentrating on it. It is amazing how quick the beginnings of a sugar addiction sneak up on you. The more you have it, the more you find ways to sneak it into your diet. It is a slippery slope for me, and something I want to pay attention to. I want to indulge some, but pay attention to how much sugar I am eating so that it doesn’t sneak up on me.
Print More Family Photos – looking at family photos makes me smile and feel good. The more smiles the better. Hardly ever do I print pictures and this is something I would like to change. Filling our home more with happy memories is a good thing. I don’t have a photo printer, but it super easy now to order prints online and I would like to make more of an effort to do this.

More Family Walks – Family walks are good for all of us. It is great exercise and bonding time. I want to fit more of these in no matter the weather. Finding reasons to get out for a walk, and enjoy the weather no matter what it is. What kid doesn’t like to splash in rainy puddles anyway?
Try New Recipes – this one is a fun one for me. Some goals need to be fun. It is easy to repeat the same meals over and over. I don’t think there is anything wrong with that, but I also want to try new recipes to keep meals interesting. In addition I would like to post about them.
Re-organize & Keep Organized – there are many parts of my home that need to be reorganized and de-cluttered. With everyday busy activities thing start getting stashed everywhere and piling up. This year I want to go through my house; closets, garage and playroom especially, to reorganize and follow it up by making it a priority to put things away in a more organized fashion. Clutter ads stress to my life, and my goal is to provide a peaceful, relaxing environment.
Increase Blog Traffic – I would like to work hard at making my blog a source of joy for others or a nice break from their day, as well to increase how many people I can do that for.
End Each Day on a Positive Note – this is the most important goal. Whether it is talking about something positive from the day, or a big long hug or kiss, I want each day to end on a positive note for all 4 of us.
What are your goals? Do you have some of the same or different ones you would like to share?
