Flowers Make Me Happy

One thing that brings happiness into my home is flowers.  If my grocery budget allowed I would probably keep my home stocked with beautiful bouquets of fresh flowers every week when I do my shopping.

Flowers have the ability to make me happy.  I love the beautiful colors, the smells, how they add serenity in my home.  When I find flowers for a really good price I am thrilled.  It can be a nice inexpensive treat that makes me happy.

This week when I was shopping at Save On Foods I came across these tulips for $2.98.  I love when the less expensive flowers come out, and you can add color to your home without spending a lot.  I tend to buy flowers frequently when I can get them for that price.  It is great to be able to buy flowers once a week for a month and have only spent about $12!

Plants in general are good for air quality in your home.  Many times I have read that the air in your home is more polluted than outside.  At some point I would like to try out an AeroGrow to grow my own fresh herbs indoors for cooking.  The no dirt is particularly appealing to me.  Kids often find a way to get into the dirt and spread it around, especially when they figure out all they have to do is pull up a chair to reach something.

Before taking the plunge I would love to know if any of you have ever tried AeroGrow, and if so what are your thoughts on it?  Even if you don’t have one what do you think about them?  Good idea or not worth it?

Have a wonderful Friday everyone!  The sun is coming out here and pouring through the windows.  I love the warmth.  Vancouver is so beautiful in the shining sun.  Let’s hope the mountains get some much needed snow for the Olympics though.  I’ve heard they are desperate for it.
