From time to time I would like to share certain products that I personally love with you. This post is about one of them. The holidays are just around the corner, and I know how hard coming up with gift ideas can be sometimes so I thought I would share with you one gift I am purchasing this year.
The other day I ordered an ornament from The Picture Globe Company. I am really excited about it, and can’t wait to get it! This is the second order I have placed with them. A few years ago I bought an ornament for my son. This time I ordered one with a picture of my daughter.
I really like the idea of setting them up with some ornaments from their childhood to have some day when they have their own families. After all, it is those special memories that bring us a lot of joy.
I was thrilled with how my son’s came out so I definitely wanted to get one for my daughter. This is the perfect year to spend part of her gift budget on one because she is just shy of 1 and not fully aware of gifts yet. Plus I think her Big Brother will be happily helping her open most of her gifts.
The company is a family business run by a mother daughter team, which I think is fantastic! They are based out of Washington State. The artistic talent is apparent not only by their beautiful ornaments, but also in their eloquently written newsletters.
Something I love is the idea of an heirloom ornament with a picture of a loved one you want to cherish and celebrate as a memorial. The next time I buy one of their ornaments it will most likely be one of an old photo of my grandparents, maybe even done in sepia. I think it is fair to say my Grandmother loved this time of year with all her heart, and in fact made it a point to carry that joy with her all year round. I believe she would love the idea of being on an ornament.
