Hello there!
The weekend is just beginning, and I am getting that Friday Feeling!
No matter what your plans are for the weekend, and if your budget and lifestyle allow you to go out on the town or not; what it all boils down to, is that feeling inside.
No matter what you have, what you wish you had, what you dream of, bring yourself back to the feeling inside. What good is any of it, without that feeling? And for me I just love the weekend feeling J. Take a minute to let yourself absorb that good feeling. Toss the list of stuff you want to get done this weekend out of your head for a minute, put a big smile on your face, crank your favorite tune, and celebrate!
Next I encourage you to make 2 plans. 2 plans I would love for you to incorporate into your weekend every weekend, or whichever day you have time off.
One Thing You Love
First, make a plan to do one thing you love. Something that makes you happy. Whether it is some time to read, bake, watch that movie you have wanted to see, or go for an exploratory walk. It really doesn’t matter what it is, only that it is something you like to do.
One Thing Restful
Second, make a plan to do something that is restful. Maybe a weekend nap or time to sit quietly and look at a magazine, as I like to do. The idea is that it is a break from your normal go go go. Let your body have time to recoup, and re-energize. Giving yourself time to rest is just as important as exercise in my book. We can’t go all the time or we burn-out, and don’t release the toxic stress that builds up.
Adding more than one thing of each is great if you can pull it off. We need fun and relaxation in our lives, allowing ourselves time for that makes us better able to cope with whatever life throws our way. This can be a great start. After scheduling in those 2 plans for whenever works best for you, schedule the other stuff around it; the plans, the to-dos, but make sure you make enjoyment and rest a priority in your life to create room for more happiness J
Make it a great weekend!
