Solo dance parties are a lot of fun and a great release too, so I highly recommend them with or without kids. My children love to dance to a song with a strong beat. Watching my toddler stomp to a beat always makes me giggle. And you should see the very interesting dances my pre-schooler creates these days. They bring me a lot of joy.
It is also fun to watch your kids make up their own lyrics to songs. I have heard some pretty funny things come out of their mouths.
Here is my tip for creating a fun dance party in your home. This may not be new to many of you, but I thought I would share just in case you have not done it. Create a play list of your favorite music videos on You Tube. It is quick and easy access to all types of music, all in one place. In addition you can make multiple play lists, and change them up when you get bored. The best part is you don’t have to invest a lot of money in music to have a diverse group of songs that you and your family love.
Depending on your mood different songs can work wonders for your soul. Try making separate playlists for different moods. The world just wouldn’t be the same without music to bring us happiness. Music is a fantastic way to relate to one another and connect us.
If you can, clear out a space, or leave an area as open as possible to give you room to dance. The newest addition to our family’s dance play list that we all L♥ve I saw for the first time on the wonderful blog Swoonette. We like it so much I just had to share.
