Throughout my journey in life, and on this blog, whenever I think of ways to spread love no matter how simple or big, I would like to share it with you.
One way to give love
Take time to look at things from another’s perspective.
This is a very simple notion, but is so important and can have a huge impact. Most of the time, I believe even with good intentions we glaze over this one. It is so easy to make a quick judgement in your head, and move on. Meanwhile forgetting that your perspective is not the same as another’s. You are on your own journey, which may be vastly different than the ones you encounter, but is equally important.
This is a gift you can give anyone, a stranger you pass by, your significant other, that secret Valentine, or your precious children. The positive energy you exert into the world by truly taking the time to try to see something from another’s perspective can have a huge impact not only on your life, but the lives of those around you.
Seeing something from your child’s perspective, whether or not you agree with their choice, is one of the biggest gifts of love you can give them. You may not be able to see the impact in that moment, but trust me when I say it is there. Not only are you flooding them with your love by doing this, you are opening the door for the same to enter your life.
When you are feeling the desire to spread love but are not sure where to start, take a moment in your day to look at things from another’s perspective. The who doesn’t matter nearly as much as the act.
