Today I became a fan of randomly laughing because you remembered something funny. Just reading it made me laugh, so I had to become a fan. Afterwards I found myself trying to remember something funny, which made me giggle even more because it kind of felt like a silly thing to do.
Then the thought popped in...
The Book Light
He walks in the dark with a tiny light in front of him. Into the bathroom to brush his teeth. The automatic toothbrush starts out strong, dying halfway through. He is still waiting to purchase that sonicare.
He makes his way over to the closet, light in hand. He holds the light up to the cloths to carefully pick them out for the next day. He asks “does this shirt go with those pants?”
I respond “ummm yeah.” He doesn’t like that answer.
“I work downtown in the city. Ummm yeah isn’t a good thing.”
Trying to explain my response, I say “well I wouldn’t buy those two things to go together, but it is not bad. It is not like anyone would ever notice that they don’t completely go together.” Thinking to myself...plus it is really hard to pick out cloths with a book light!
He picks out something new.
Afterwards, he takes the light over to the children to check on each of them. He smiles at them sleeping peacefully, and pulls their covers up.
He walks back to the nightstand, turns off the light, and gets into bed.
Why? Because he doesn’t want the children to wake up if he turns on a light.
What is bedtime like for you?
