There is nothing like a weekend morning to sit back and relax a little bit longer before starting your day. Staying in your pyjamas, leisurely sipping your coffee or tea, while catching up on some reading or just simply having a quiet moment. If not quiet than a less hectic moment.
If you have young children you may not get to sleep in quite as long as you would like to, but at least you can leave them in their PJs to play around the house for a more laid back morning. And if your child somehow finds the one missing coffee bean that falls to the floor, like mine did this morning. Try to find it quick before it ends up in their mouth or you might need the Jaws of Life to get it out.
When it is cold it is so fun to stay wrapped in your bathrobe for a while. You don’t have to jump from the bed to the shower, scarf down breakfast and out the door.
These mornings are the best, and I just wanted to take a moment to point it out. The next time you get the pleasure of having a leisurely morning, whether it falls on a weekend or a weekday for you, be sure to take a minute and let yourself be fully aware of the pleasure it brings, to truly enjoy the moment.
I wish for you some extra slow mornings in the upcoming holiday weeks!
