This morning when Big Brother and Little Sister woke up, they share a room so it happened at the same time. I said “We need to hurry up and get dressed and eat breakfast because Mommy has a doctor’s appointment today.”
Big Brother responds “No Mommy! All I have to do is give you a kiss, and the love will make you better so you don’t have to go to the doctor.”
I thought it was really sweet so I wanted to write it down so that I could remember. J Just in case you are wondering I’m not sick even though that is what Big Brother thought, I just had an appointment.
When we got in the car I opened the sunroof. One of my absolute favorite things about my in-laws car they so generously let us borrow while they are away on their adventure abroad. It was the first time this year I thought the air really smelled like summer. It made me feel good. I love how scents can provoke such strong emotions and memories in a matter of seconds.
Our family is really excited for the summer weather to be here. The changing of the seasons brings me a lot of joy. It makes me feel renewed. One of my favorite things about living and growing up in the North, even though I switched coasts, is the change of seasons. Just as I am ready for a change, a new one rolls along. Each one brings excitement for different reasons. New holidays to celebrate, new activities to enjoy. Change is a part of life and I am learning to truly delight in it more and more as I go.
