My 3rd grade math teacher is a shavee for the St. Baldrick's Foundation. He is experiencing “the brilliance of being bald while raising funds for life-saving research... [and his bald head is a] display of solidarity with kids who have cancer – most of whom don't get to choose how to style their hair today.”
Thank you VERY much to my teacher for giving me an opportunity to help, and for the life saving work he is doing to raise funds! The power of giving truly does have a ripple effect and this is one great example. The more you give and choose to make a difference, the more others around you will want to do the same, and the more love and joy there will be in the world.
We, each and every one of us, have that incredible power to create more good in this world. The sky is the limit if we should all choose to seize opportunities to make a difference, and there will no longer be suffering because of what we don’t do. I think our greatest mistake is not fully realizing the power we all have within us to create more love and happiness.
“The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.”
“Cancer is the number 1 disease killer of children in the US and Canada.”
