Do you ever find yourself feeling really stressed out? OK, I know you do. It happens to me all the time. May I share with you what I've learned about stress?
Stress means STOP!
As soon as you feel that buzzing in your head, that ickiness rising up in your body, that mountain of overwhelm, STOP. Stop doing everything and simply be. Breathe. When these negative feelings arise in our body it's a sign that we are focusing too much on the doing and not enough on the being.
Deep down we all know our soul did not journey to this peaceful paradise earth to be a stressed out messed, never living in the moment. No, we came here to enjoy life, to feel love, and to pass that light on. Stress is a sign that we are not on the right path in this very moment in time, and we need to get back on track by stopping doing everything and allowing our soul to return home to the now.
When you feel stress coming on, tell yourself that's my sign to stop and come back to the moment. Sit down and gaze at the sky, notice all the sights around you, listen intently to the sounds that surround you, maybe you can even hear the birds singing in the background if you're quiet enough. All of these types of activities return you back to the present moment where you belong.
It's up to each one of us to prioritize being over doing. Being allows your vibrations to rise. Being is where the joy of the moment is found. You can do it dear one, it isn't impossible, say no to stress and yes to being. Let your body tell you when it's time. You know exactly when that feeling arises that's saying this is too much I need to stop, so give yourself permission and stop. You don't want to miss out on living fully. This moment now is all that counts.
