Experiencing loss is one of, if not the most difficult human experiences. My heart goes out to anyone who is suffering this pain at this time when so many are. There is so much grief being felt in the world right now that it is almost a palatable part of the air we breathe.
Walking the full, difficult path through the pain of losing a loved one, as much as we might not want to, is important. If we distract ourselves or numb ourselves in any number of ways to the experience of loss and all the emotion that comes with it we interrupt our healing and prolong our own suffering.
There is some relief from the desolation that can be found in loss through a spiritual approach embracing the fact that our loved ones aren't really gone. I feel strongly and with absolute certainty that my loved ones who have passed are still with us, but in a different way. In some ways the relationship with a loved one who has passed can feel even closer and more loving than when they were corporeally bound on Earth. As spirit, you can ask a loved one to be near you anywhere and at anytime. You just need to be open and willing to trust the feelings you receive of their presence. Spirit is not weighed down by earthly worries like paying the bills, or cleaning the house the transparent nature of spirit, full of truth and without doubt, means you get to be openly and honestly 100% yourself, never trying to be something you're not in order to please the person who is beyond such pettiness. Spirit sees clearly and can feel the true heart and soul of you. If you learn to properly attune yourself to the energy of a loved one, this spiritual experience can feel incredibly loving.
Please know when you feel the sadness of loss, your loved ones who have passed are with you, showing you love, and guiding you beyond your pain. Pay attention to the signs and feelings you have of loved ones' spirits. Trust what you feel and know you're not alone. The more you trust your own intuitive sense of spirit, the stronger you'll begin to feel it, and the easier it will be to accept loss when it comes.
We hope this is some solace for anyone experiencing grief right now and some help to those walking the difficult path of healing. Know, without a doubt, you are not alone.
Warm Wishes,
Wendy and Clark
