Being conscious and grateful for your support system for me is an essential part of quality living. This blog would not be a success without your support, something I am truly grateful for every day. The love I receive from my family is the huge foundation of my support system.
Having a support system can make all the difference in your life. There are times when you have to work on building that support system, maybe you have moved, or your life has taken you in a new direction. I believe the best way to build support is to give. Give your love, and give your support freely, and it comes back to you. Support is not a condition for creating your dreams into reality, your love and belief in yourself can do that, but support is what will carry you where you want to be through hills and valleys, bumps and cracks.
As much as we may tell ourselves we don’t sometimes, we need each other. If you seek support and unconditional love from people in your lives don’t focus on that, focus on giving it yourself. When you do that I believe you no longer need to worry about how to get support when you need it, you’ve opened the door to let it in.
There are infinite ways to give your support, whether it is a charity or cause close to your heart, time with a loved one, sending encouraging words, or helping out a stranger. It is the giving of support that is important to focus on. Do that and it won’t matter so much if you have found or know your life’s greater purpose, you will be living with purpose and I think that is far more important.
Whether it is a simple thank you to your doctor for caring about your health, an anonymous Operation Beautiful note, or an active role in an activity important to your child, giving support is the best way to live life to the fullest. When you do that prepare to see an infinite amount of love and support come your way. Oh yeah, and don’t forget to open the door to let it in!
Have you ever felt like you missed a moment of giving support to someone when they may have really needed it? Don’t worry; it is never too late to give!
