My goal for making a difference this week was to find a charity which helps provide clean water to those that are in need and make a donation. It was a small goal I made for myself that I felt I could live up to and accomplish. However, great things happen one small step at a time, and love explodes from there!
When I asked if anyone knew of a charity that helps provide clean water my friends really came through for me, and were pivotal in helping me accomplish this goal.
Here are what some of the great suggestions were:
Kaelyn and Patty suggested Water.org
Monet suggested Engineering Ministries International
Aly suggested Hope International
Stretching My Imagination suggested CharityWater.org
Thank you so much for helping me, friends!! These were all wonderful suggestions that I truly appreciated.
This week I decided to go with the first suggestion I saw, which was Water.org
It also very much aligned with what I had in mind.
I could go on and on for pages about how excited I am about Water.org but I will let you see for yourself with a couple of videos below!
Gift Options
As Patty pointed out to me there are also Gift Options such as water bottles, tee-shirts, Hope watches and more. A portion of the proceeds are donated to Water.org. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, if you give Valentine’s gifts and are always strapped for ideas like me, you may want to consider giving one of these gifts that have the real meaning of love behind them.
Other Ways to Help
There are more ways to help that don’t involve a monetary donation.
• You can spread the word about the Water.org mission. People listen.
• Also, you can vote for Water.org in the Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation. Just follow the link!
“The Lowe's Charitable and Educational Foundation is donating a total of $1 million to these four charities — $100,000 will go to each just for participating, and the remaining $600,000 will be distributed based on your votes.”
• As well you can join Water.org by signing up with your email address to stay informed.
