If you feeling down, which we all do, it is good to recognize that you are feeling that way. Recognizing it means you can turn it around and focus your attention on what makes you feel good. Try to actively think of something that makes you smile, or feel good inside. It can be a person, an experience you had that brought you joy, or remembering something that made you laugh.
For me being happy means being able to recognize happy moments and focus on them. Really life is just a string of moments, and the more we can focus on the ones that make us feel good, the happier we will be. I believe this will in turn rub off on those around us.
This blog in my life is about recognizing happy moments and putting a greater focus on them. Writing the blog forces me to sit down, think, and write about the very things that bring joy in my life.
My hope is that it can help you do the same. I encourage you to spend a minute to think about one happy moment from your day so far today.
One happy moment for me today was seeing my daughter’s hair stick straight up while she stood up in her crib, and in her very fuzzy baby talk say “Hi there.”
Do you have a happy moment you would like to share?
