Your soul desired to light up the world and so it came to be that you were born onto this earth. There are many things you are here to do, but do not let that overwhelm you, I will guide you each step of the way. Amongst the stars and moons, planets and universes, you were created out of infinite love. Love is your truth, so please remember dear child, when life sways you elsewhere to always return home to your truth. I am here for you on your brightest day, and darkest night. I am the way. When you make time for meditation, you make time for your innate blissful state to take over. You make time to connect with your soul. Meditation is so important because it is vital to our true happiness to surrender to our soul. To trust that it knows best. To let it guide you on your path. You are in your happiest state when your soul is in charge. Meditating allows you to detach from your ego, and oh my how we all need time for that! Just thinking about the ego gives me a headache with all its drama and worry. The ego is not you and you need time and space to detach from it to fully realize how special, lovable, and amazing you are. You need time to detach from the ego to really love your life. The ego keeps you from loving your life, and meditation is my favorite way to send it bye bye and let your soul shine through. You are magnificent and you always have been. Any time you've felt less than it’s the ego being allowed to take over and run the show. Meditate today. Give yourself time to feel the peaceful bliss wash over you. Give yourself time to feel the unconditional love that you truly are at your core. You'll feel so much more connected to yourself if you do, and then you can go back into your day living and breathing the miracle being that you are. With love & deep peace, Wendy Irene Do you ever struggle with trusting people? Do you trust yourself and the decisions you’ve made or the ones you still need to make? Do you truly believe and trust that things will work out OK? I think it is fair to say from time to time we all struggle with the act of trust, whether it’s trusting our loved ones, people we work with, or even our own decision making abilities. First, let’s start by not getting down on ourselves, forgiving ourselves, and treating ourselves with kindness. It is human to have these feelings, and really that is all they are, feelings. We can work together on trusting as opposed to acting out of fear, or reacting to feeling a lack of love. When we feel a lack of trust going on within, let’s take time to recognize those feeling and realize we are much greater than our feelings. In this meditation we will work together on shifting the mind to a more positive, trusting, and loving space. From there I recommend that you meditate in silence for 10 minutes afterwards so that you are best able to listen to your own inner guidance. The Guided Meditation on Trust is just under 8 minutes long, so if time is of concern set your alarm for 18 minutes, which will allow you to better let go, listen to the meditation, and then meditate on your own for 10 minutes. With peace & love, Wendy Irene Do you ever feel like you are holding your true feelings back for fear that others won’t like you or who you truly are? Do you stuff words in because you’re a Keep the Peace Crusader? Do you experience frequent pain in your throat or neck area? Coming from a place of love and kindness is always important but holding back true feelings and our authentic self is unhealthy, and can build up in the body. In this guided meditation we are going to work on releasing your authentic voice. Fear often holds us back from speaking our truth. Through this healing meditation we will work on opening up the throat chakra enabling us to speak clearly and authentically about how we really feel. Join me in this guided meditation to open yourself up to speaking your truth. When you’re able to speak clearly and authentically through a tone of love, you are giving yourself the greatest gift and others as well by allowing them to be free too. Feeling free to be our authentic self is crucial because our authentic self is tied to our divine purpose in life. With love, gratitude, and deep healing, Wendy Irene A few weeks ago, I was explaining to someone why and how it is I create guided meditations. Sometimes they are messages I need in my own life, and I share them because I hope they will help others too. Other times I get an overwhelming urge within me to share a particular meditation that comes to me often when I am meditating myself. Most of the time it feels like the meditations comes through me, not from me and that is when I know they are meant to be shared. The best way I can describe it is that the guided meditations feel like a greater voice from within. I always recognize the need for the meditation to be released because the urge within me speaks and only gets louder. The reason I share this with you is because my hope is for you too to be still and recognize that voice and urge within you. You can try to ignore it but it doesn’t go away. That is your heart calling to you, giving you the messages and guidance you need. Listen to that voice; it is your calling and your purpose. You’ll know it’s the real thing because it will keep reoccurring and it may even get louder and the urge to act stronger. Be brave enough to listen to your heart. That is your purpose in this moment. That is why you are here. The meditation I share with you today is to clear away the excess in your life. Excess can build up from all around us, and in many forms. It could be excess clutter in your home, or excess weight holding you back from being the healthiest version of yourself. It could also be excess emotions overwhelming you, or baggage from the past emerging and suffocating your joy. Whatever the excess is in your life, it feels the same. It feels like it’s weighing you down, as if you can’t take a big, huge, deep, freeing breath that you so desperately seek. This guided meditation will help you remove the blocks, and begin to change your internal dialog so that you can break free of the excess, and truly feel the lightness of your soul. I highly recommend when the meditation is over that you continue to meditate in silence for 10 minutes. It is your own voice within that is your greatest teacher, and it can be heard best in silence. Here you will find a super healthy low GI vegetable stew recipe that is going to keep your energy up and make you feel great from the inside out. After that we’ll move onto a calming guided meditation where we will work on removing stress and anxiety from your body through quieting the mind. It’s an inside out approach that will leave you feeling amazing. In fact, I’m pretty sure you’ll start to sparkle. Let’s remove all the junk that’s stopping you from being the very best version of yourself. You got this! We’ve got this! We’ll do it together :-) What does low GI mean? GI stands for The Glycemic Index. In short, eating low GI foods means you’ll avoid those nasty spikes and dips in blood-glucose, which will ultimately help you achieve a steadier stream of energy. In turn, it is thought to also help you lower your risk of heart disease and other chronic diseases that are tied with blood-glucose fluctuations. Dr. Oz was a big inspiration for me in creating this recipe. I recently looked into his new Two-Week Rapid Weight-Loss Diet and challenged myself to make a recipe using only the foods in the low-glycemic vegetable list. The curried vegetable stew recipe is what I came up with. On a side note, I just finished reading the book Us: Transforming Ourselves and the Relationships That Matter Most by Lisa Oz and loved it. I got some good insights into my personality and really learned a lot about relationships in general. You’ll have to check it out! 1… 2… 3… Let’s Glow! Low GI Curried Vegetable Stew Ingredients: 1 tsp. extra virgin olive oil 1 large onion or 2 small onions, diced 4 celery, chopped 4 Portobello mushrooms, gills and stem removed, cut into chunks 2 serrano peppers, diced 4 cups vegetable stock or 32oz. (907g) carton vegetable stock 2- 14.5oz. (411g) cans diced tomatoes 2 cups garbanzo beans 2 cups kidney beans 3 Tbsp. curry powder ½ tsp. chipotle powder (alternatively you can use cayenne pepper) 1 ½ tsp. sea salt, divided *For a less spicy version decrease or omit the chipotle powder. You can also decrease the curry powder if desired. Directions: Add olive oil to a large soup pot over medium heat. Add onions, celery and 1/8 tsp. sea salt and sauté for 5 minutes. Alternatively you can sauté the onions and celery in the bottom of your slow cooker insert if it is oven safe. Add mushrooms, serrano peppers, and 1/8 tsp. sea salt and sauté for 1 minute.* If using a slow cooker add the sautéed veggies to the slow cooker at this point if your insert is not safe for sautéing on the stove top. Add vegetable broth, diced tomatoes, garbanzo beans, kidney beans, curry power, chipotle pepper and 1 tsp. sea salt, stir. For slow cooker version, set to low and cook for 4 hours. Oven top- bring soup to a boil then gently simmer on low for 2 hours. Taste and season with salt if needed. To print, email or text recipe click here.
