Green Bluff, WA
We've had another magical light dusting of snow this week in Eastern, Washington. This is one of my absolute favorite barns. My hearts melts, I could just stare at it for hours. I'm such a lover of barns! The brick silo, the fence made of upcycled wheels, and the ancient tractor are stunning together. It's gorgeous in the photo, but even more stunning in person. Green Bluff, Washington, for those of you who aren't local, is full of Christmas tree farms, pumpkin patches and apple orchards. There are cute shops stocked with great gifts and yummy pies, which is a beautiful reminder of how wonderful it is to support small, local businesses. High Country Orchard and Walter's Fruit Ranch are two of my personal favs in Green Bluff!
Covid-19 has put a strain on many small, local businesses and this holiday season is a good time to show them some much-needed love. In Spokane, WA our #1 visited restaurant is Gordy's Sichuan Cafe--so yummy, with choices for every type of diet, and just the right amount of spice! Our favorite locally owned coffee shop is (by far) Indaba Coffee. I personally love their beet latte with hemp milk, a skosh of raspberry syrup and a little bit of orange peel. If you're in need of crystals to stuff your stockings, my lovely friend owns the quaint shop Cosmic Aura Crystals. And I know the Hallmark brand it's exactly small, but how could I leave out our local Winnie's Hallmark store! There's always a million little reasons to love Hallmark during the holidays.
