As I sit here writing this message to you, I have a picture of owls to my left, and a picture of New York City to my right:  two things that truly light up my heart. I want to encourage you to create a space for yourself that makes your heart feel light, warm, and at ease. Knowing that after this I am going to go downstairs and sit by my Christmas tree brings me so much joy. Being cozy at home is my favorite place to be. With, of course, some travel mixed in to keep me inspired and passionate about life. You see, I've always loved making my home a sacred space; a place for me and my family to feel truly grounded and at home on earth. As someone who is particularly sensitive to subtle energies, having a sacred space is essential to my well-being.  And for me that place, above all else, is my home.

I love to share pictures from around my home with you because it is a place that brings me so much joy. My ideal life is one of being a spiritual student and teacher, as well as queen of the home. I want you to know that I am sending this energy to you, in the hopes that you will find/create a space that is worthy of your beautiful soul.

Welcome friends!

It's so lovely to connect with you here. This week, to be totally honest with you, I've been feeling a bit of a collective heaviness setting in. It's been a really tough year for so many, and I think that lots of us have just been trying to plow through. I wasn't sure whether to address this heaviness, or possibly take a break, but the message I'm getting is clear:  the messages are needed now more than ever. As the holidays approach it feels like people are feeling the full impact of 2020, as though it's bubbling up. Remember it's ok to sit with these feelings, let them move through you, then find ways to lift your vibration.

One little example from my week of finding joy is trying out some delicious almond milk whipped cream that was on sale. Oh my gosh, it was so good on hot chocolate, and in my favorite mug it just made me so happy.

This green house and barn ornament are just 2 of the ornaments I love looking at that bring me joy. Do what you can with what you have, and know that you are never alone. I for one, am energetically supporting you with my love and light.

When you have a moment slow down and listen to this guided meditation. It will bring you feelings of peace and warmth.

Recently, I came across a great idea on MindBodyGreen. The intuitive side of me lit up and I thought this needs to be shared! Do you know what’s better than a ‘to do’ list? A ‘to be’ list. Personally, I love the idea of a ‘to be’ list for manifesting the person you wish to be. And truly, what’s more important than that? Being the person you wish to be is, in my mind, far more important than any particular task you may or may not accomplish.

The ‘to be’ list is a great way to stay aligned with what’s truly important to you. When you consider doing tasks, you can ask yourself: Is this helping me become more of the person I want to be, or taking away from it? Feeling heart-centered and aligned in your day to day life, is for me a great source of joy. It’s so easy to allow life to distract us, and the ‘to be’ list can help us stay focused on what’s important to us. 

Your ‘to be’ list might look like:

writer
gardener
more attentive parent
loving and supportive spouse
traveler

Whatever it is you wish to be write it down. There is magic in written words. Keep this list close by and remember to check it or update regularly and ask yourself, am I being the person I want to be? If not, how can I change that in the now or what steps can I take to move closer to becoming the highest version of myself?

Whenever you see money on the ground, even if it’s a penny, pick it up.You can respect that it’s still money. Plus the fairies (nature angels) don’t like to see trash on the ground. You could always try starting a donation jar for any found money to keep the positive energy going.

I’m going to be honest with you. I created this video back in the dead of winter, hence zero color in my skin, haha. I did not share it though because I didn’t think most people would be open to the ideas I talk about in the video. It goes against what you’re taught. It goes against the belief systems ingrained in you that are responsible for molding the way your life looks. You are what you believe, and isn’t it fair to say that working really hard to have a good life is one of the most frequent things we hear?

Let me just backtrack one second, and say that working hard and being in the flow of creativity are completely different things in my book. They carry a whole different energy or vibration. Creating in the flow is channeling the divine, and it releases a feeling of joy afterwards, not struggle. Therefore, I would not put creative pursuits that you allow to easily flow through you under the same umbrella as working hard, although some people might. If the creativity is not coming through you that’s OK, it’s about showing up again tomorrow and saying I’m here universe, I am an open channel, please use me as a vessel to serve your love and light. If you’re feeling struggle happen within, instead of forcing just sit there in the now and breathe, and appreciate the beauty that’s around you. Everything in life comes in waves. Have fun and play in them just like the dolphins do. Let go of your expectations and simply feel alive. Feel your heart beating.

The important things in life, the things that you really love will come to you as if by magic. It is my personal experience that you do not need to reach, and reach, and search, you’re only pushing the positive energy away and building walls when you do that. Be as happy as you can right now, doing what you love and that which makes you feel fulfilled, which often involves serving others. All that’s required is that you leave your heart open and have faith that good things will come to you. Follow your inner guidance system, your intuition, your north star. If it tells you to be somewhere at a certain time, go there. If it tells you to join a new class or go hang out with a friend, go. If it gives you an action step to take, do it so you’re not getting in your own way. Other than that it’s the art of allowing. Allow a life you love to be magnetically drawn to you by letting go of all your expectations and just dancing in the light. There is nothing as magical as letting go and having complete trust in the unknown. That’s when stars align, so do what you can to be happy where you are here and now, exactly as you are, and I promise you things will line up all on their own. It’s called grace.

Do you ever find yourself feeling really stressed out? OK, I know you do. It happens to me all the time. May I share with you what I've learned about stress?

Stress means STOP!

As soon as you feel that buzzing in your head, that ickiness rising up in your body, that mountain of overwhelm, STOP. Stop doing everything and simply be. Breathe. When these negative feelings arise in our body it's a sign that we are focusing too much on the doing and not enough on the being.

Deep down we all know our soul did not journey to this peaceful paradise earth to be a stressed out messed, never living in the moment. No, we came here to enjoy life, to feel love, and to pass that light on. Stress is a sign that we are not on the right path in this very moment in time, and we need to get back on track by stopping doing everything and allowing our soul to return home to the now.

When you feel stress coming on, tell yourself that's my sign to stop and come back to the moment. Sit down and gaze at the sky, notice all the sights around you, listen intently to the sounds that surround you, maybe you can even hear the birds singing in the background if you're quiet enough. All of these types of activities return you back to the present moment where you belong.

It's up to each one of us to prioritize being over doing. Being allows your vibrations to rise. Being is where the joy of the moment is found. You can do it dear one, it isn't impossible, say no to stress and yes to being. Let your body tell you when it's time. You know exactly when that feeling arises that's saying this is too much I need to stop, so give yourself permission and stop. You don't want to miss out on living fully. This moment now is all that counts.

Say it with me, stress means stop!
